John Printy has worked as a designer and art director with over 20 years of experience in the field. He’s worked at several design and advertising firms in the upper-Midwest, working up through the ranks from typesetter to art director. Currently he serves as an Assistant Professor at Northwestern College where he teaches several Graphic Design courses within the Art & Design department. He has also served as a Visiting Lecturer at the University of Minnesota’s College of Design and Bethel University in St. Paul, MN. His award winning work ranges from business collateral and advertising to identity and installation design for organizations such as 3M, Health Partners, Youth Trust, University of Minnesota, and Education Minnesota.

 

Professor Printy serves on the Education committee of Minnesota AIGA and has made scholarly and community presentations on: Creativity, Graphic Design sequence, and Human Computer Interface.
